That sucks balls man, i know how you feel, i bought a swap too and im still looking for parts for it, for me its the map sensor, he stated that the engine didnt come with it and it was a cheap deal, but to find one that works is a pain, have you tried club4ag.com ? i think there it will be easier, ill let you know if i come across one, but as for the 7mgte i doubt it because it has a single coil going to the distributor not coil packs.... Heres the part number off my ignitor and good luck man
Thanks for the help. I'll check club4ag. Say, did you try getting the map (turbo pressure sensor) off of other turbo toyota cars such as supra (7mgte)? Man, good luck to you too bro. I hope you find a working map sensor.
If you need to part number, I'll try to get it off of mine. However, i won't be able to see it until i go back to my friend's garage.
I have a part number but yeah sure shoot me the one off yours see if its right, nah man everything domestic has AFM nothing here has MAP until later years. im waiting to hear back from a guy selling a 3sgte map sensor to see if its the same part number.
Thanks man.. when i was at the dealership i could only find AFM set ups for the Supra, so i ended up buying a 3SGTE MAP, if it doesnt end up working out I'll pick up a 2jz MAP, thanks alot makes it a hell of a alot easier knowing that, how much does the 2jz MAP read?? 1.5 BAR?
Yeah I think they did it that way to get an accurate flow reading for emissions purposes, but also to get a very accurate boost reading as well to control all the sequential mumbo-jumbo for the turbos.
