Help with carburettor please
Most appreciation for any help on this one, my bros got a 1988 corolla ae80 carb and its knackered so he went out and got a hold of a ae82 carb, now the fitting of that is ok apart from a bit of help needed as to where all the vacum hoses go and I think they are ok but one of the times when we started the engine it revved up to the max on its own and we had to kill the ignition before the engine took off through the bonnet.
After leaving it for a few mins we started it again and it revved fine, but after revving it a couple of times it revved through the roof again, its a very intermittent thing but does anyone out there know why this is happening and also does anyone have the correct diagram for this carb, the workshop manual doesn't have a good diagram of this carb and sourcing one has been difficult to say the least.
So any help at all would be great coz I'm out of ideas
