OIL disappearing act SR5

I need help. I just bought this mint 84 corolla SR5 74k 4ac engine,auto tranny, driving it home the oil pressure gauge dropped quickly. I fill the oil. Get home check the compression 127-125-129-127. Sitting in the driveway it loses an eighth of a quart of oil , but not on the ground, next day down another eighth, no pools on the ground, no smoke , exhaust very clean. Tranny fluid not high, No trace of oil in coolant and no bubbles either. I drove the car till warm, look under, nothing.The engine compartment does not smell of oil burn. Impossible? ?????? what am I misssing . If it was leaking at the rear engine seal wouldn't it drip on the ground? Ideas?

...yea, i no ideas unless the oils too thick and its getting caught up in the lines or its too thin and its burning off fast.

Try checking for leaks with the engine running?
