Hello all... i am new to this forum, and in the process of purchasing a 1972 Corolla from my professor... I would like to build it while i am attending graduate school... I was never interested in old Toyota's, but when i saw this thing, i loved it... he is the first owner, and this was his car in college!!! the body is good, and has a brand new leather seats and roof liner etc... the car is all original with lots of spare parts such as wheel covers, carbs, and other stuff (2 crates full of it)... anyways, these are all the good things about the corolla...
MY Question----- the car has been sitting in the garage for the last 9 years (with frequent engine runs), and so i will change out the battery as it is dead, and drain the gas tank and flush it with new gas and some additives.. i will also change the engine oil before starting it... now, the problem with this car is that when the engine is hot, the car does not start up again... it starts fine when the engine is cold... what is the reason for this... now, is it worth to change the carb with a rebuilt one, or chould i just spray it with cleaner and see what happens...
i hope someone knows the answer...
