New and need help

I have just purchased a 1985 Corolla GT-S. The previous owner (brother) never fixed the rear pinion bearing, and later sold to to a buddy, who sold it to another and now back to my hands. Anyway the last owner drove it for a while but didn't want to take the chance of the rear end going out. Now the gears are worn out, pinion bearing is still shot, and I am told to buy a new rear end.

Anyone know where I could find a cheap one? Also what are some good sites for performance parts to go into it?

Thanks for the help!!

In all honesty the rear could probably be rebuilt if you find the right mechanic. but personally I would start calling and going to junk yards it you best bet for parts like that. you might be able to find an old one with low miles that was in a front end wreck or something. when it comes to these its about searching your a$s off. good luck and happy hunting.
oh yea and if you can read Japanese yahoo auctions japan is awesome for parts for ae's. and fleabay has some also just beware of who you buy from.

Ok so i found the pumkin part of the complete rear end. The part with the gears and the diff. and all that good stuff. So now I am just looking for an axle due to the fact that the axle bearings have ovalized the inside. Any thoughts where i could find an 83-87 GT-S rear axle? I just need the axle. No, just the axle and thats it.
