stalling/no start

got an interesting problem on my 85 gts. When the problem first started when the brake pedal was depressed(at night) with headlights on, all lights on vehicle would dim a bit. Then over the course of several wks when the brake pedal was depressed (now day or night) the radio would turn off and come back on and my radar detector would reset within 5-6 seconds. Now the car will stall and not restart for 4-5 minutes just cranks, then starts up fine. The final straw was yesterday pulled up to the garage and shut her down opened the door and had nothing no dome lights, no key buzzer i mean nothing like the battery was missing then 5 minutes later was normal again. This car is a wkend cruiser, it lives the easy life now I've got no trust in her. Sorry this one seems like a story, just a weird problem.

Did you check your connections to your battery, especially the grounds?

Found the problem last wk and fixed it. Turns out the 80amp fuse right off the battery was really corrorded, took block off disassembled and cleaned and replaced both fuses. Guess nothing lasts forever after 23yrs it had enough. Good to go now

Hey, just because it is a fuse doesn't mean it won't grow something over the years.

Glad to hear that you have it going again.
