I want to modify my 1987 Toyota Corolla LE Sedan...Starting with the body kit.
Eventually I want to upgrade the engine performance to racing quality but not too extreme... I'm a chick I don't know too much about cars but my family does and I just need a step by step guide of what to do. Any ideas on where to start?

well first place to start is the fact that there are no body kits for this car, second youre faced with the fact that if you want one, you have to buy one for a car of similar width and adapt it to fit your AE82 sedan, third i honestly think these cars look best with wide rims and lowered, a car this boxy looks wrong with a body kit, buy i suppose if you really want one, try a J-blood body kit for an AE86, theyre around the same kind width/style of car
any chance on getting a new pic? maybe in the daylight? as for help, box cars do look great lowered with the wide rims, the body kit not so much, if you take the Jetta off The fast and the furious, thats a great looking box car, (not sure on if there was a body kit), and to be honest, performance SHOULD be top priority, then visuals to back it up, but your a chick, so of course looks come first (NO OFFENSE)

Yeah the box look its what's annoying...love the way the car has driven. I am sure this will be a huge project but I wanna see how it will come out.

Yeah I will take a picture in the day light... So where do I start with performance?
I am interested in the look...yeah probably cause I'm a female but I don't like the boxed look. I want to see how much I can alter the look of the car. I've seen some with kits that don't look too bad.

Thats all you need, trust me once the wheels are on it it changes the complete overall look of the car, toyota never should have put wussy narrow wheels on their cars,
From the looks of it this one has Japanese bumpers on it, or maybe FX-16 Bumpers, but no body kit, this one looks great but the spoiler needs to go, stupid usless things
I think what I really don't like is the front bumper and the back bumper...its black and faded and seems like it can't be painted because of the type of material it is. Also new headlights...
The black strip on the side needs to go too...
