4ac dizzy rebuild

oil is leaking from the dizzy.
has anyone rebuilt theirs? or did you buy a new or remanned one?
any feedback would be appreciated.

leaking from inside the dizzy? is there oil inside the cap? if not, just get a distributor o-ring from the dealer for $5.

You'll need to know how to use a timing light and re-time a distributor before you yank it out though.

i already replace the o-ring close to the drive gear. but it still leaks. i know its a common problem with ae86 sr5s (or any older car).
what did people do when oil leaked from the distributor area?

There is a seal available for the 4AG distributor, not sure if it would fit in a 4AC one. Call up kbox and find out if it will fit.

Otherwise, you need another distributor. I'll bet one from a tercel 3AC will work just peachy.
