Hey ive been thinking about doing this swap. I was wondering what kind of mods u have to do to do this. Can u get mounts for it, or do u have to make some custom ones. Also the firewall issue. Any help would be much appreciated.

Hey bud .....i made some custom mounts to fit the stock 2jz motor mounts....
what i did was custom the rackonpinion by lowering it 2" lower so that i had clearance on the top of the motor ......so i would'nt have issue's closing the hood .....and as for the firewall i didn't cut anything.........the 2jz transmission fell rite into place with a little cutting for the 6 speed tranny.....and fell into place with a 2 stock ae86 tranny mounts that i had welded together .....i no longer own the car i sold it for $7500 bucks ......but if you have any more questions i will try to help you out somemore when im back on line ....the car is going single turbo with a 3.4 stroker motor roll cage 9''inch rear ect ect ect when it's ready i will still be driving it @ the track since it was a friend of mines who bought it from me cheers

Hey thanks.
I was also wondering about the driveline. Noticed the 79 mk1 supra rear, did u use that driveline as well, or a different one?
