Is the ae82 4ac clutch the same as the ae86 4ac clutch?

Re: 4A-C Clutch

The clutch disk on both is the same part number, the pressure plate is not.

4A Clutches

The 4ac clutch for both should be interchangable, for that matter any 4AC or 4AGE clutch will fit your car, as long as it is a 200mm disc and pressure plate. So an AE86 4AGE or 4AC clutch will work. (the only difference i could see is that it will grab a little better) The FX-16 4AGE and 4AC clutches will work as well. The only MR2 (AW11) clutch that will not work is the 212mm clutch, as it uses a different flywheel. The MR2 200mm clutch will work just fine as well.

Yes the throwout bearing should be the same as well.

The reason these parts are interchangeable is that these are both 50 series trannys (the fwd being the C50 and the rwd being the T50).

Hop on ebay and look for an AE86 Aisin/Asco clutch should be fun fine for ya! Make sure to get it with throwout bearing. Its good to change that while your in there. Note the AE86 kit comes with a pilot bearing...the fwd doesn't use it.

yes, normally hte kit comes with both bearings, you could toss the pilot bearing, or put it on ebay for like 5bux, and make some dough back.
