another problem

after my ae86 gts sits for a few hours, when i start it it will rev @1.5k for 2 secs then it will die.
after it warms up, it idles fine and doesnt die.
i did an impedance check on the cold start time switch and cold start injector according to the fsm.
they both are within range.
could it be the afm. the screw was adjusted by the previous owner but i did the ohm check on it and its also within range.
also the car is hard to start.
thanks for looking.

are you referring to the "air valve" as the valve for the tvis system? I had a similair problem with my 85 gts, the cause I found was corroded 80 amp fuse off the positive battery terminal. The fuse block there ( should be 2 big fuses they get full of corossion at the base causing a poor connection. Was intermit. problem with mine would start run great then stall and lights would flicker a bit. Took about 6 months t be a full blown problem. Pull that block apart and c if theres corrosion buildup in there, took 22 yrs for mine to go bad

aav. auxiliary air valve. coolant flows thru the valve?... i'm still kinda new to cars.
i checked the cold start injector today. no gas comes out when i crank the engine.
i'll go to the yard to see if i can find some.
i'll check for corrosion also.
thanks for responding.
