So,
there's a guy selling a shell for an '86 Corolla,
and I'm wondering how much you think it would cost to build it up
engine of choice would be a 4age, of course : ]
Well before you consider cost. What is your intentions? Race, Basic driving, Daily driver? Full restoration? Making a plan of attack 1st is always good. Then you can figure cost and how much of your income will be dedicated to this project.
Well the ad doesnt explain much. When he says "shell". Does he mean no running gear whatsoever? If that is true the junk yard and this sites for sale, and other 86 sites that have stuff for sale will be your friend. You say daily driver, but later race. What is your states law on historic vehicles?
The body is complete,
looks like it needs the engine, tranny,
basically everything under the hood,
although the body is rather rusty.
I'm in Alaska,
and I have no idea
I plan on moving down to Colorado because the drift scene is probably a lot larger down there
the guy sent me some pictures,
so i'll upload them in a bit
Well for the race scene it would be good cause for drifting you dont need the interior. But since you want to drive it 1st. Im trying to determine your plan with the interior.
Ebay is good to have for suspension parts and harness bars. As for the dash there are many site deticated to the AE86 parts. I had a hard enough time trying to find a door. lol
From what i can see its needs a new fender. and the headlights will not fully open. the body is in ok shape. Its your decision. It will take awhile to get that street able. Just keep that in the back of your head.
