Would like to know what i have?

I bought this corolla off a friend for 100 bucks..didn't run when i got it. put a new fuel pump and new air filter, fired up without so much as a sputter. Ive heard its a pretty rare car, an 84 ae82 liftback with a 4ALC motor.. I would like to know if i should invest or would i be wasting my time? Thanks!

No it's not rare... there are lots of them around. Keep it as a commuter since they get good fuel mileage, but I wouldn't bother dumping $$$ into it. Pretty bulletproof, easy to get parts.
