5AFE Transplant

hey guys i got an AE91 Corolla that came with a 5af (carburator) i wanna change the engine to the 5afE (EFI) and i heard i would have to chng the fuel tank, i know i have to change the fuel pump but the tank too ?

Yeah, You do. I would have to do the same for my 4ac to anything FI. Cause the gas tank in all carbed engines are not baffled inside. FI engines need their tanks to be baffled or it will strain the system of fuel. When the fuel gets low. On hills and stuff. That is what the baffles in the tank are for to prevent that from happening. Basically it prevents starving of the fuel system.

Not really, everything in the tank is being switched to a new tank. I might be doing it to mine just cause i hate having the idea of no baffles in the damn tank. But when I do it im gonna buy everything new besides the tank.
