79 Corolla Carburetor questions??

HEY i was wondering if anyone on here could help me out im looking at a 79 toyota corolla for sale with a 2tc engine and a weber 32/36 carb the person say that the car is not running because of the car he says it doesnt stay on when accelerated and he thinks all it needs is to be adjusted

could there be something else wrong with the car or could the person be telling the truth if any body has any clue of what could be the problem please let me know or what should i do or check for to find out if it realy is the carb and not something else im realy want to get the car but im worried that whats wrong with it might be to much i would like to see if anyone else has encountered this problem or similar one thanks for your help
