Total Nub... Go easy on me :D

I'm new to the AE86 scene. Very. But I've loved these cars for a couple years now, and am lucky enough to have come across one for sale. Which I plan on buyin'.

But after skimming through a few threads, lookin' at common tunes for the AE86... or any Corolla for that matter, I had to post this... nubbish thread.

And I was was curious if any of you AE86 owners might have any tips/suggestions or ideas that have been around for a long time now.

Such as the v20 swap?

standard motor is the bigport/TVIS 16V motor
swaps include, but are not limited to, smallport/non-TVIS 16V motor from FWD corollas, silvertop 20V, blacktop 20V, supercharged 16V (4AGZE), turbo'd version of the supercharged 16V, Nissan SR20DE/T, Nissan KA24DE, Honda F20/22, can carb'd and/or ITB'd versions of the 16V motors.

Search is a useful function for learning all the differences between these motor swaps/tunes.

And what you end up doing will largely be determined by what style or type of driving you plan on doing in the car, and what you can afford (usually the pocketbook takes precedence)

Go for it, if you want decent power, go for a 4agze forsure, its a boost ready engine so you can throw a turbo on it anytime and make way more power than the stock supercharger can put out,

oh and BTW its spelt Noob
