ae82 4agze

hello from the uk and i have a ae82 with a 4agze dli. no dissy. i bought it running already but the problem is the tacho doesnt work. does any one know how to sort it. am sure its probably same as ae86.
any help appreciated. thanks

You'll need an external tach, and hook it up to the tach wire on the dizzy, and that will tell you if its the dizzy or the gauge cluster. If it is the cluster Just go get a aftermarket one it will be easier unless you already know where to get ahold of one.
P.S. It could also be a fuse but you probley already checked that.

thats all good, but he dosent have a dizzy...

is the car stock gze or swapped? if its swapped i would check the wiring harness to make sure the tach wire was hooked up during the swap.

its a swap been converted. does the tach wire run from the ecu?
if so which pin on what plug. i am useless wen it comes to wires.

I dont know much about gze's but the tach wire has to come from somewhere.

DLI GZE's use a different tach signal anyways, youre gunna have to get a tach signal converter or mod the original tach to work,

this is what has to be done on an AE86 tach, and i havent confirmed if it even works,
