Hey guys, another question for you all. My throttle positioner screw is missing on my 4ac carbed rolla. The engine runs but has surging and poor low speed,light throttle performance. When i get it to highway speeds it runs ok but still has a valve clattering problem when the rpms are up, eg. passing or heavy throttle application. any ideas ??

I dont think the carb being jacked up would cause the valves to clatter thats usually from the lash adjustment being off.

Well, the car didnt clatter before the carb was rebuilt by some local village idiot who has a auto shop. It was just sluggish and had poor idle. Im wondering if i could be having a lean condition because when i turn a corner, the engine seems to sputter for a second, float level maybe ??

looking for carb rebuild advice i did a rebuild and every now and then the throttle will stick at the light or sign can some one post the different views of the linkage of the carb plz its on a 4 ac fwd motor thank you
