Carb Problem = fuel system failure

I found out what has been driving me crazy! My tank is not venting properly. Fuel in the filter can't get to the carb because the system is vapor locked. I had the tank down three times and the carb off or apart more than I can count.

I hope this info helps someone else.

If someone would have told me to check for the possibility of a vapor lock sooner I would have gone through less trouble.

The temporay fix was real hard I just leave the cap loose. The vent / emmission tubing sankes around under the rear of the car and then goes to the engine compartment. My car sat for 6 years so I bet it rusted solid someplace.
