New AE82 FX-16 owner, need some parts/advice - Toyota Nation Forum : Toyota Car and Truck Forums

Picked up a cheap FX-16 5spd, it is in dire need of both axles, front struts and an upper strut mount. Are there any other years of Tercels or Corollas that would be more likely found at the p-n-p yards that I could snag parts from? The local yard has a few AE92's and an 89 Tercel, some with new axles in them. The upper strut mount is obvious, and I'll just buy new inserts for the strut tubes. I am interested in 15" wheel fitments as well.
I'll need a windshield and a front wiper motor as well... I'm sure the list will get longer as I go along.
This car is mainly a commuter for me- keeping my 510 in the garage on rainy days. Oh wait, the engine is blown in it so its stuck in the garage now anyway

The FX's are kinda weird to find parts for, the axle's should be the same from a AE-92 or a 88 nova, The axles from the 84-87 AE-82's bolt up and i belive the fx has standard style cv's

thanks, I just ordered 2 outer CV joints "made in Japan" off e-bay for $40 shipped. They've gotta be better than the $50 Chinese axles that are out there.
