issues with my 85 sr5 4ac

hey im not too knowledgeble on cars but im having an issue with my 85 sr5
it has the 4ac motor and its rebuilt with atleast 100 ,000 miles and the chassis has about 28xxxx miles on it and im not sure if the transmissions been rebuilt or not. havent had any issues with the car since ive had it, ran strong and great untill just tonight. im not having any heating issues, low oil, and doesnt seem to be leaking anything at all and i dont see any smoke or anything comming out of the exhaust and i dont believe its a belt problem either because the car will reverse and such fine but it seems to be lacking power or kind of wants to slow down alot going into third and it stalled out when i was rolling from first to second at a light. i wasnt sure if itd roll out of first so i was able to reverse the car fine. i had to keep the car in high rpms to be able to continue in first to second. i want to say if feels like its more in the rearend and but like i said i dont have much mechanical experience and want to figure it out instead of taking it to a mechanic due to low budget at the moment. when i pulled to my driveway the transmission seemed to move more freely then normal or it seemed kind of "spongee" and easily to move then normal. could it be a clutch problem, rearend, transmission? not sure if its a t50 either, ive had the car for only about 2 weeks and the previous owner didnt know much about it either since he had it for a month and just used it as a dd
any feedback back would be great thanks

ok so i just started it up to see if itd do anything different and now it doesnt seem to want to go at all or it seems to be not getting fuel maybe? it starts to hesitate after moving a few feet or so and just dies. ive also noticed that it leaves an awesome black trail on the ground from when i start the car and was thinking it was just from the retarded large 4.5inch muffler on it but now im not sure exactly why its doing that... the car seems to be idling up to 1100 rpms as well so is there anychance its giving too much fuel to the carburator?
feedback back to me would be greatly appreciated

its lowered about 6inches off the ground so the exhaust is about 3-4inches from the ground

does it still have all the stock emmision components. have u checked the the basics, timing etc. does it have a cat. converter? if so it might b clogged and causing a restriction causing loss of power...seen it happen before, but not so common in older toyotas
