European Union 1969 MS55 Restoration

Hello TNers; restoration of my 69 MS55 is nearing completion, almost 2 years and several hundred euros down the road. I documented every stage of the process in pics. Enjoy.

General shots when I got it.

Time to get down to work! Lets go

very cool, would you ever consider a 7M-GTE swap?

Amazing job! The early M engines are possibly the smoothest, most vibration free engines Toyota ever built - so smooth they don't feel or sound strained when doing 3500 RPM on the highway. American inline 6's of the 1960's and 70's are so loud and coarse sounding at 3500 or even 3000 RPM they sound as if they are ready to blow up!

no, since I got ITS OWN engine; if I got her without an engine or if it was screwed up beyond repair, that would have been on top of my option list, along with the 5m. So its all to original specs, complete with chrome wheel covers and whitebands
