First off I'm open for comments to improve the lap time, for looks I don't really care much so will just stay with performance.
First AE86: It started as a cheap project to test a hybrid 4ag engine 3 yrs ago, turned out engine and chassis was good together so we just keep it and improve on that base line. can't really tell you more about the engine.
suspension its typical DIY coilover w/ used 10kg springs front & 8kg rear w/ a used camber plates on a RCA, used whiteline sway bars front/rear, used 4 links w/ lat. bar by battle version.
Drive train took much of the budget 7lbs fly wheel, kevlar clutch w/ heavy duty pressure plates on a 2 way lsd
looks nothing much something cheap so a J blood knock off will do.
we wanted to know how the engine will perform on 9,200rpm track environment so we took it to willow springs on the club4ag 4ag challenge. now we decided this chassis will be strictly for the TCRA time attack.
tested it also on drifting and gymkhana
Second AE86: This project was done around 2004 started late 2002, it was more like a dare of my friend that a AE86 can't go faster than his S2000. rule was cant swap a motor with a bigger liter like a 3sgte, so end up with a 4agze from an AE101 Japanese spec. w/ a HKS supercharger kit w/ the HKS all bottom end on a all out TODA head everything is controlled by a aerodyne ind. stand alone ecu all the way to 9,200rpm. this project became a no holding back all out performance suspension, breaking & drive train. end up the AE86 was 2.3sec faster than my friends S2000 in willow springs.

...uh, what's the lap time you're trying to beat? From the limited amount of info you've given regarding such, and the fact that you seem to know how to build a car, focus on tires and seat time. Become a better driver and your lap times should go down. Use better tires and you should be able to push the car harder. And then there's dialing in the suspension. This part is still a mystery to me, but that would be where I suggest you look into for improvements without changing parts (except tires).

But nice cars man. Very nice.
Thanks, seat time I already have at lest 9 time attack event on the red corolla, even my friend who is a TCRA instructor he can't even beat my time on my car. but yeah 205/50/15 on a advan A048 kinda ok, I got this 14x11 -23 hope I can find a slicks for them at least a 225/50/14 but I'm really hoping a 255/50 but cant find a tire for them yet O yeah my problem with them is I dont like flairs and if I put this I may not have any choice.

I would love to have one myself one day as a project.
Thanks, AE86 are nice project easy to work on but expensive, then again everything is expensive this days. Its a very good teaching car to start you on auto cross, road racing & drifting.
basically we took all the good parts from different 4ag's like the strength of the silvertop 20V ae101 block, a light weight crank, light weight connecting rod from a blacktop 20V AE111, high flow big port head from a 16V bluetop, ITB's from the silvertop 20V, pistons, harness & ecu from a high compression redtop 16V. all that made 11.5:1 compression ratio .5 more than a regular blacktop 20V 4ag.
A lot of people asked me this why not just get a 20V blacktop change the piston to something higher to bump up the compression add? well are point was not really the compression ratio, we are actually trying to make a motor that has a good mid to high range of trq. and a very good engine response we didn't even know will end up with a higher compression its just like the icing on the cake.
