Engine problem.

I seem to have 2 dead cylinders number 1 and 2, 3 and 4 are fine. 1 and 2 both have great compression no differnt from 3 and 4. I also have spark on all four. The only reason I know 1 and 2 are dead because I pulled the plug wire and it does nothing and when you pull 3 or 4 it runs on 1 clyinder. I thought it was the plugs so I switched the plugs from 1 and 2 to 3 and 4 and theres no differance. The cam to crank timeing is right along with the dizzy being in the right place. All the plug wires are brand new along with the cap and rotor. The only thing I can think of is its not getting fuel to those 2 clyinders but I dont see how thats possible unless something was clogging it, but the only time the manifold was uncovered was when I was switching carbs and I dident see anything fall in the manifold nor did i see anything in it before I put the new carb on, it was only open for 2-5 minutes tops. I think I would have seen something big enough to clog two clyinders. I'm confused as hell, anybody have any ideas?

Seems to be that the problem was that cat converter was clogged.
