USA Possible new FX16 owner in Seattle

I found an FX-16 that needs a trans and I have an '88 Nova (with a 4AC/auto that dropped a rod Christmas eve) plus an '89 Tercel (3EE motor with 5 speed) so I wondered if either would fit the FX-16?

Wish I knew if the Nova and the Tercel motor/trans was an easy swap or I'd do that first.

The FX-16 comes with the 4age motor and the standard 85 thru the 88 nove came with the 4ac motor. the tranny's will not inter change. Now if you had the 88 ss nova with the 4age motor than they would interchange. But those ss nova's are really, really, really rare to find. I would say they are more rare than the fx-16's are. They where only produced for the year of 88. I have only seen one in my life time and I am constently on the look out for one that is for sale. If you do not get the FX-16 fix'ed would you be willing to part it out? If so my email is jackandmelodie@hotmail.com. I got this info from my mechanic who is a certified toyota mechanic. Hope this helps
