transmission problem on my FX16 with 4ag?

i just did a clutch on my FX and for some odd reason 4th and 5th gear are not working its grinding really bad what could this be?

honestly... thats a tough one.

if you had the problem previously, then i'd say that its the synchros in your transmission. and from what i know, replacing the clutch would have no impact on it at all...

and, if you didn't properly bleed the clutch, you'd most likely get that grinding in all gears.

so... tackle the easiest stuff first.

1. re-bleed the clutch.
2. drain and replace the transmission fluid.

anything beyond that, are you're looking at (most likely) removing the transmission, etc.

Just cause it's only 1 or 2 gears that grind dosent mean its not the clutch. Do what the last guy said. If that dosent work look into the shift cables. A friend of mines ae-102 would grind 2nd and 4th and wouldent even go into reverse he had a shot shift cable. So its the clutch, linkage, or a internal trans problem.

hey guys thanks i think ill try it and bleed the brakes because i didnt bleed them what so ever... but why did reverse was working and than it stoped working?
