2nd Generation electrical problems...

I have a 77 Corolla SR5 2TC. My alternater keeps over charging. Now I have replaced the regulator twice. After the first it charged just fine for a little while then started going over.

Warretied the reg and it didnt fix it. got new alt after driving around sans charging system. Got new alt. Started working drove around for awhile. started it up yesterday. at idle 12v at 2500rpm 16v and a bubbling batt. what is the chance i dont have the reg volt sensor wire connected.i have 3-5 wires by the batt not hooked up. cant tell where they go.

I dont really have a good wiring diagram due to crappy book. both times it worked the batt was low to start. could it be ive been overcharging whole time but didnt know it. Havent test old or new alt yet. will do it tomorrow.

Thank you and sorry for long post.

2nd Generation

Okay update 2. Always follow the white rabbit(or wire). Guess the voltage sensing wire wasnt conncted. Go figure.

Now i have to figure out the other two white wires that arent going to anything. I might try to put them too the positive wire, guess the only thing that can happen is a burnt wire.

Oh well. Hope this issue helps someone else. Have a good one.
