USA 3A-S in my newly bought AE82 sedan (auto)

Hello guys.
I need your advice.
Just bought an 86 Corolla sedan (auto) with a bad carburator to fix up for my spare car only to discover that it has the 3A-S engine.
What other corolla engine would be a direct fit for my sedan. A little improvement on the stock 4AC throttle responce would be enough for me since my goal is to fix it up to look like the two tone limited corolla sedan back in the days. I do have an 88 corolla sport coupe sitting around (also with a bad carburator).
Thanks in advance for your input
