It is not easy.
You will need to swap the 4A-GE ECU and wiring also. That is the hardest part.
If you are good with wiring diagrams you could do the wiring yourself.
If not, I would suggest you send the wire harnesses to Tweak'd performance (Dr. Tweak) and for about $400 he will send you back a harness that will plug into everything.
You also need to consider though, that the plain FX does not have a FI fuel pump. That can be overcome by using an "inline" pump.
I did something similar with a Tercel, but if I let it go below 1/4 tank, it would suffer from fuel starvation in wide left turns. This was because the Tercel had the pick-up on the left side of the tank.
The FX has the pick-up in the middle of the tank so it might not be so sensitive to low fuel quantity.
If you can get the tank from an FX-16 or FX-16 GT-S, that would be better.
If you decide to use an in-line pump, the one I used was a Master E8445 from Advance Auto Parts. It put out 35psi, and delivers 45-65 gallons per hour.
