87 FX manual headlights, dunno about DRL ,at night; HeadLights on,Stereo lights,rear window defogger switch lights,the gas guage and speedo lights are adjustable. BUT , it's only after driving & running heater about 20-30 min that climate control lights turn on.Then I can see them and can also adjust dim if need be.
Whatinthehell is happening? Is the dimmer a rheostat and the heat makes all contacts close ? That couldn't be. Short? jiggling of wires changes nothing. I presently have to adjust conditions by braille and it causes much strife with my gf. Takes my eyes off road as well. So, watch out for the one-handed driver who looks away just to be more comfy.

One of my Toyota tech friends asked if you have changed the bulbs??? Kevin

If the bulbs work at all, There isn't a prob with bulbs. R E A D the post. The lights WILL WORK but only after running heater 30 min. Maybe it's the weather but I'm guessing it is heater. When its dark, its colder hence lights & heater on.
