AE82: Wider tires?

Hey all, it's been quite a while! I was wondering if I can put wider tires on my stock AE82 rims? the wheels I currently have are unhealthily narrow and aren't the best to drive around on in snow and ice

nevermind i figured it out.

for the record:

stock tire = 155/80 13
larger usable tires = 175(185)/70 13

I believe narrower tires are better to dig through to the ground, unless you have really deep snow, then you want wider tires.

I have used 185/60/13 on a 1990 Corolla. I think those wheels were 5.5" wide. I'm not sure how wide your wheels are.
