Gen1 AE86: 4AC to 20V swap (help)

I just bought a 20V silver top to put in an AE86 with a 4AC in it. It's a JDM motor complete with trans (which is not gonna be used obviously), wiring, ECU and all but I bought one with an auto trans on it and was wondering if anyone knew if this ECU will work with the manual trans or should I get an M/T ECU with the plugs and just modify the harness. I did however manage to get my hands on a 16V 5spd trans with the bellhousing and all so I should be good in that aspect.

The automatic ECU will be the least of your problems. The water lines, fuel return, and airbox will be bigger issues.

But FWIW, the engine shouldn't run any differently on the auto ECU vs the manual ECU on your silvertop. I would suggest sourcing a blacktop ECU if you want to run open element ITBs, as that will be necessary on for the silvertop to run properly that way.

Thanks for the advice. It sounds interesting to utilize the BT ECU to run open ITB's. I'll look into that.
