Hi All, i have 1985 AE-82 with a 4A-C engine that wont start. it just lost all accelaration at 60mph and then just shut down as i slowed. i tried replacing the fuel pump as when i took the line off and tried to start it no fuel was flowing. But i still have the same problem. it seems to have no fuel coming up at all. is there another pump or other unit inside the fuel tank which may be the problem? Any help or advice will be appreciated. Thanks.

Did you replace the fuel pump or not? On a very old (1973) Toyota I once found a fuel flow problem was caused by a kinked fuel hose that was attached to the gas tank.

Yes i did replace the fuel pump and filter as well. But i have not had a look at any part of the line back to fuel tank. Thanks for the tip.
