alternator removal

Alternator on 85 corolla finally went out.
Thinking about replace this week but have never done it before.

Are there any step by step? Or anything I have to be aware of?

1 undo the positive cable on the bat
2 loosen up the bolts on the alternator including the ones that have wires
3 you will probably have to remove the bracket holding the alternator on thats connected to the block
4 then do everything backwards to put it back in!

its simple really simple! oh dont forget to take the belt off!

Don't forget to mark the position where the alternator was on the alternator bracket.
