2nd Generation oil problems

I have a 1977 toyota corolla with the 2t-c. Ever since i got it the oil pressure is extremely low at idle.

Im currently running 10w30 in it. when it warms up the most pressure i get out of it is 30ish psi, and thats when im running down the highway at 3500 rpm.

Does this sound like i need a new pump or just need to run strait 30 wieght oil. Also is this the front mount oil pump or internal mount. Ive seen pictures of both.

Thank you for your help.

2nd Generation update

Switched to strait 30wt and still low pressure. Looks like its time for a pump.

Is this as easy as it sounds, drop cross member, pull pan after draining, pull pump. install is reverse of removal.

Low pressure COMPARED TO WHAT?

4 psi is NORMAL at idle. 30 -35 psi or so is normal at speed.
