Hi, I replaced alternator on my girlfriend's (1985 AE82 SOHC 4 door) hatchback. Upon removing the original alternator, I noticed that there was a wire that was not plugged into anything. I searched the area within the distance that the wire could reach, but I could not find an empty connector.
After some frustration, I proceeded to complete the install. I started the car and it drives beautifully. I just want to make sure this plug doesn't go to anything important before letting her drive the car around.
Can anyone identify the plug in the foreground of the pictures below?
