about to buy 83 corolla wagon questions

I'm about to trade my 92 lexus sc400 for a 1983 toyota corolla.. it has the 5 speed trans and the 4ac engine. it's lowered on blocks and has toyota celica rims. there not no rust.

I want to do a 4ag swap.. how difficult is it to swap the 4ag into the corolla.. are the parts hard to find?

also I want to put her on bags.. but it has the leaf spring set up.. Do i have to convert the gts rear end in order to go with bags? or is there a bag set up for the leaf spring?

what commonly goes wrong on these cars?

I want to know everything about these cars before I trade and any input will be appreciated. thanks

I personally own an 83 corolla 4door sedan with a 4-ac engine. I have taken out the 3speen auto and installed a 5spd. Converting it to a 4-ag isn't that hard you just need a new head, wiring harness, the right intake manifold, a new exhaust manifold and down pipe, ecu, and the time to install everything. I have owned toyota's for quite a while and I haven't found them to have any major problems.

ok, I'm going to get the whole 4ag engine with wire harness, downpipe etc with the 4ag transmission.. Will the 4ag transmission bolt right up to the stock differential? Is worth using the stock differential?
