3sge beams to w57 s1/3y bellhousing?
Hello,
I'm currently doing research on putting a 3sge beams (dual vvt-i) engine from a toyota altezza RS200 into my RHD ADM AE86 Levin from '83.
At the moment I'm a bit stuck on how to mate my w57 gearbox (that's already under the car) to a 3sge beams engine...Some people say use a 2y or 3y bellhousing (from a tarago?) and some say you can use a s1 bellhousing. I've got a couple of questions with which I hope you guys can help me out.
- From what car is the s1 bellhousing that mates the w57 to a 3sge beams? Does it need any modifications?
- What starter motor to use with the s1 and does it need any modifications?
- What about the 2y or 3y bellhousing? which do I have to use and what needs to be modified? Also which starter motor? And what mods?
- And what about the spigot/input shaft, I'm assuming it's to shoort with both bellhousing? use a spacer or machine down bellhousing face?
Hopefully some people can shed some more light on this part of the conversion, I would really appreciate it!
