car not starting need help

so I have a 86 corolla sr5 to gts conversion, the fuel pump died so I bought a new one and swapped it out. when I try to start it up all it does it crank. so its a crank, no start condition. and even though I put a new fuel pump, I don't here it turn on when I go to turn the key on. I double checked if I hooked up the fuel pump correctly and everything looks fine. I'm kinda lost now and don't what the problem is.

...check your fuses and your relays first. if those are good, check for power thru your hot wires, do some voltage drops across your electrical components, check for shorts to grounds, etc. assuming your pump is good, make sure your ground has a good solid connection to your ground point.
