anyone ever hear of someone swapping in a 13B non-turbo rotary into an ae86 body? if so, is that worth it?

you'd be getting more power and you'd be able to turbo it later. i would consider changing the rear axle also.

13B swaps are old news. I've seen just about every rotary engine dropped into the AE86 (12A, !3B, 13BT, 13BTT, 20BTT) except for the new Renesis (probly because its too new and exspensive).

The only thing I haven't heard of is someone dropping a Hybrid motor on their AE86... let's start a trend shall we!

Have fun turbo'ing the 13B, it's quite different than the 13bt

...I really want to see the 13b-rew swapped ae86 though

for what its worth,

i have the same desire to install a 13btt in an 86, i feel it would be a wonderous match. it would rev extremely hard and fast, and would prolly smoke just about anything, and provided you had a 6 speed tranny for the highway, if you needed to go that fast... basically its the low budget solution to the "sleee Rota" ae86 -wouldent b as fast as the 3 rotor, but it wouldent fall too far behind either... a wonderful idea and im extremely curious about the respinsiveness and to see how it works out on the uphill (!)

old thread but imho not dead =]
