our old cars seem to put up with alot of crap and abuse. I have drivin it hard since I got it in august, only 23,000 km but my dad seems impressed that it's lasted... He used to get mad when I first got it telling me "it's old you can't drive it hard it will break."... and now he can't understand why I want to upgrade area's of the car and why I want to spend so much money on it just because it's an old car.
The stuff thats wrong with my engine isn't such a big deal. Could use some valve terrain work but doesn't HAVE to be done since it runs well. Leaks oil fron the valve cover, once I get a job again it's an easy fix. Only think engine wise I have replaced since I got it was the thermostat because the seal started leaking. We convince them to put a new rad in and new front brakes.
but as it goes we have the type of car where the engines run fine for the most part but the body's are prone to rust.
