headlight haze

Greetings friends,
2 years ago a cop blew a stop sign and hit my car. Everything was fixed, but they put a old headlight cover in place of the broken one. Well it is all yellow and hazy, can this be cleaned? Or do I go to ebay and buy new ones?

Thanks,

Matt

what year corolla? like haze do you mean condensation? if condensation you can drill tiny hole in the bottom of the headlight assembly to drain the condensation out.

I would try toothpaste first, and no, I am not kidding. Rub it in the the headlight, and let it sit for about 10 min, then wipe off and repeat. If that doesnt work, try meguiars plastix.

Meguiars plastix and a Mothers buff ball will do wonders on oxidized plastic. All you need is that, a drill, and about 20-30 minutes, and you will be amazed on what those can do.

I have a 96 Corolla with both headlights extremely hazed. I'm going to try the toothpaste. Thanks for the advice.
