93 corolla computer

was wondering if anyone can tell me where the computer is located so i can take it out for a swap. I need the serial number off it to compare since there are so many models. Had it to a mech and this is solution he came up with. Starts fine cold but once warmed up will not start, too much fuel, injectors tested fine , fuel pressure fine, all sensors test fine???? Idels high when it runs also. thanks

On my '90 there is a panel on the right side of the drivers right foot and the computer is behind it. So it's down below the radio and in front of the console that has the shifter.

If you mean the ECU, it is in the center behind and beneath the radio-heater-ashtray section of the console. Be prepared to remove a LOT of the lower dashboard stuff to get to it. You can probably see the side of it now, it's the silver box just aove the carpet next to the gas pedal. About 2 hours worth of work to get at it, just be careful with the plastic parts as they break fairly easily.

Could be dying ignition coil. You sure you have spark when starting warm? If the car runs, there is nothing wrong with the ECU.

or the ignition module (more likely than the coil)
