As for what turbos would work best with the 7AFE, I've been doing /extensive/ modeling with compressor maps, flow calculation spreadsheets, and Engine Analyzer Pro...although it's for the 7AGE, the same general conclusions should apply. For good reliable ~6 PSI boost by ~2600 RPMs, the GT2560R works nicely, as does the TD05-14B, these are dirt-common turbos in junkyards etc. The T3 Super 60 has higher potential but doesn't see full half-bar boost until 4,000+ RPMs. The engines also respond well (theoretically) to the Eaton M62 blower. As soon as I can dig up some figures on the T3/T4 hybrids, I'll probably simulate those. If anybody's interested in the spreadsheets with flow calcs, I can post those or post a couple simulated dyno runs.
What's with 7AFE Talk? This is for 4AFE. But thanks for the info
Will the same apply for 4AFE ,you think?

More or less. F-head early spooling should probably compensate for the .2L difference that would lead to later spooling.

the FE head has narrow-angle ports witch are supposed to create slightly more low-end torque but with the sacrifice of horse power... basically there is less of a gap between the two but that doesn't make it faster and you can't upgrade FE internals...

basically the FE head can't handle as much boost as the GE but will respond better at low-boost due to quicker spooling and torquier throttle-response. at least that was what i could gather
that is why for now i'm leaving the wastegate at 8psi and eventually if i have problems i'll probably grab a GZE for the convenience of american parts or maybe silvertop

Finally welded an inline turbo tube and brought my SRI down to the driverside front lip Yeah baby True-CAI i'm move the blinkers and open the bumper up next...

can anyone get me the the euro or jdm bumper that doesn't have 30lbs of fucking steel( to uhhh protect us)... in the middle other wise i'm pulling out the Saw Zaw!!!

I didnt ask what the F-head is like, I know it pretty darn well.. I've never heard of it spooling something faster. It does resist knock better.

when it comes to spooling it all has to do with the turbo, what it is and usually how big it is. like flash said i dont think the head has anyhing to do with making it faster?

it has to do with the relationship between the impeller size and the amount of flow ie size of header/motor...
last time i checked the EXHAUST ports were different than the GE and therefore would change the FLOW witch may or may not affect SPOOLING
I'm not arguing witch is better or spools sooner i was just clarifying what MIGHT cause the FE to spool faster.

The 4AFE can be upgraded, it'll set you back a couple of $$$$$. For instance the pistons can be swaped with some old (I stand corrected) mr2 ones. The cams can be custom built. The engine top can be cut. Anyways..... The most important thing is the ECU for N/A or Turbocharged engines.

Mega-squirt is cheap... but.. it has alot of limitations, newer versions such as the VEMS one are getting better.. I didnt have luck with it so I went with Van Kronenburg management systems (KMS)
