High pitched screech

I have a 94 DX and after a 35-40 minute bout of driving with some redline shifts and hard launches, I start to hear a high pitched screech coming somewhere from the back end. It stops for a couple of seconds when I hit the brakes, then it comes back a couple of seconds after I let off. My rear brake shoes are fine, but I don't know if the shoe metal is rubbing against the drum. Thanks for any help.

Edit: it kind of sounds like nails against a chalkboard mixed with a hiss.

sounds like the wheel bearings are sick. They might act up if when they get warm.

Yeah, that's really all there is back there besides the brakes...
