Fuel hose

So I was repalcing my rad at this place a couple of days ago and they noticed this fuel hose thing towards the back of the car next to the fuel/brake lines was starting to get cracks in it. Anyway I was wondering if anyone knows if I can replace this myself and how to do it or if it's a big process and I should leave it in their hands..thanks. It's a 93 LE btw.

Fuel Leak

Shoot yourself in the HEAD..... NO GLUE, TAPE, BOND, TIE, or any form of substance can permanently seal a fuel leak! I have a major fuel leak from my Civic and need to replace an entire fuel line.......I'll give you a quote tomorrow

Ok i didn't say I had a leak yet..I'm just saying the outer surface of the rubber hose is starting to crack..not on the lines, just on that one rubber hose..and I was wondering how hard it is to replace the HOSE, not lines, yourself..am I making sense?

Becareful

You just can't throw any rubber hose on it....Gasoline is like a acetone base, it will melt just about any rubber substance quickly......if you can't get the replacement hose at a auto shop, make sure you hit the junkyard....

VERY IMPORTANT:
If the rubber fuel line is one of those that are angle in a certain degree or bent in a certain way...GET ONE AS CLOSE A POSSIBLE TO IT!!!!! You'll thank yourself later!!!!

if your talking about the rubber sheath over the metal lines dont worry untill you have a leak from the metal the rubber is just a guard for the metal

yes you have to be careful about what hose you use on a fuel system just make sure if you buy new hose that its pressure rated "fuel" hose any auto parts store will have it

No its not actually.

Theres no sheeth of rubber around gasoline lines. If the rubber cracks, its already hardened, no way to fix it unless you replace the hose, better than having your car turn into a bonfire.
