USA engine swap from 93 to ...

well i have a hard time understanding how all this works as i am not car smart.

what i want to know is will my 1993 7a engine work in 98-99 corolla?

i guess that depends on the type but with a lil help can you guys name wich it can replace.

btw i did read the swap guides and i have been reading and asking people around me ofr advise but no go

i did not want to ask here on forums because people usually say (read)but im at the bottom now.

thank you

this is all i can read about my engine 7A /250172 16 valve efi

there's a saying, you can make any engine fit under any hood as long as you aren't limited by your pocket.

if you want a direct swap, no 7A is not going to work in a 8th gen corolla, because in 98, toyota stopped using the A series and installed ZZ series in corollas.

if your car is a 93, why worry about swapping your engine into a newer car? for the A series engine, there are a lot of options out there. the easiest one would be swapping a 4A-GE.

oh because i am looking to buy a mint condition inside and out 98 corolla for $2500 then swap engine since my engine only has 50k original miles but with your info i guess i cannot.
thank you much ill stick to 93-97 rollas,right?
