i need help :(

been having problems with my car, took out my distributor
opened it up, on the cap there where wires. i changed the sparkplugs,
wires, cap, and the rotor and still same problem. i dont get spark on my #3 wire. is this the cause of the problem and lost of power?

kind of looks like your cam position sensor was disemboweled by the shaft there.

also i put it back together, put the plugs in made sure they where in tight.
turned on the car and it sounds normal, #3 is getting spark. uhmm ill see what happens when
i warm up the car.

Looks like you have a bird building a nest on your dist shaft....If you were to remove that nest on the shaft, I bet you'd find 4 flats underneath the the nest.....where did it come from? Answer that question and I bet your problem would be solved.

just so we're all clear here, thats copper wire like is used in a sensor winding, coil winding, or electric motor winding and should NOT be wrapped around that shaft.

Probably from below on the stem. I am sure that wire is a coil and needs to be whole and not broken. Buy a new distributor!!!

If that came from ANY one of the sensors currently in there I don't know how it would still be running. I'm thinking something else in there was replaced but that was never removed. I would just try to pull it off first. As for how it works the nub that sticks off the center passed by the magnet and tells it when to fire. NOTHING should be around it and rubbing.
