A 7AFE or 4AGE head gasket should suffice. The 4AGE pistons will be easier to use as you will know the compression ration instead trying to figure out what you'd get with with the 7A's pistons. It'll be very difficult to get this going, count on a programmable ECU and a lot of unique parts (the timing belt that fits the 7AGE comes from a Porsche of some kind), but if you put a lot of effort into it you'll be smiling every time you start your car. That said, good luck, I'll be watching your progress.

I've heard alot of people get low compression thats why i want to get the right head gasket the first time.
If i come across a set ill most likey get them, the problem is finding 4age 20v pistons. I've heard using the 7a pistons with the 16v head works fine. Yea i've read to use a porsche 924 belt.
Its difficult to find consistent reliable information on the 7age... everyone says something different.
If your gonna replace the headgasket, double it up with a SUPER thick one, just incase you get a wild hair up your ass to boost it, you don't have to rebuilt it all again with larger gaskets.
