Master Key and Locks

1995 Corolla DX

Is this the stock master key?

I believe I have a Toyota Dealer installed alarm system.

When using the key on the driver's side door - I can't turn it counter clockwise to lock the doors, whys that?

When using the key on the passenger side door - Doesn't lock or unlock. When I turn it clockwise to unlock you can hear the switch/solenoid/motor moving but none of the doors unlock. The lock switch doesn't pop up.

When using the key on the trunk you cannot turn the key either way.

How do the trunk locks work? (The 2 lock switches behind the rear seats). Do the rear seats have to be folded up and the switch set to 'lock' for them to work? I folded both rear seats down and put the switch to 'lock' position but the trunk lever still pops the trunk open.

The valet key is that one. Sometimes you will have a Master key with the same head but usually they have the Black plastic Head on them. If you want your key code for the car, its stamped on the tumbler on the pass side front lock assy. Remove the handle and you can have a proper key cut for the car. Sometimes when a key gets worn and the lock wears (front drivers usually isnt used to lock the door often, usually unlock) the key will work one way but not another. I have had this happen as well on 2 of the 4 toyotas ive had.

The key does unlock all the doors from the driver's side, but will not turn to lock.

The key does turn to the unlock position on the passenger side, but nothing happens. It does not turn to lock either.

For the trunk, it can't turn either way.
